Casper Boo Bear
English Cream Golden Retriever Born: April 9, 2022 Casper came to save us after we lost our beloved Honey Bear! He was born one month before she left us. We believe Casper carries her spirit within him! His name is Casper because he is friendly, white, and actually, in a larger sense, we believe he carries the spirits of all our dogs. So, like the friendly ghost, and because we believe Honey Bear sent him to save us from losing her, we named him Casper Boo Bear! Having Casper come along so soon after losing Honey (within a month) just happened. We knew we would want another dog in our lives but we weren't quite sure when that would be. We felt our next dog would embody the spirits of all our dogs. And we knew we wanted an English Cream Golden that was very white looking because he would embody the angel spirits of all our dogs. And because we are getting older we knew our next dog may well be the last dog we have in our lives. And for that same reason we knew that, even though we were still mourning the loss of Honey, it would be best if we got our next dog sooner than later so we would have him while we are still young enough to grow old with him. So, although not feeling any rush to get another dog, we began poking around websites looking at breeder's thinking it could be up to a year before a new pup would come along. In doing so, we found a breeder's site that really spoke to us about how we felt about our dogs. And although they were no longer breeding there was one small text link mentioning they knew about two pups that might be available. So, we clicked the link, got in touch with them and the rest is history... we now have Casper, our new little guardian angel. We believe he was sent to us by Honey to carry her spirit, as well as the spirit of all our dogs, to travel with us through this next chapter in our lives. Casper is a goof, a gentle loving spirit, and he's very smart! We've been doing a lot of training and working towards getting him involved as a therapy dog. He has an excellent temperament for that kind of work and we're hoping to share some of the love and spiritual healing he brings to this life! |
