It's Honey Bear! :)
English Golden Retriever Dec. 12, 2009 - May 4, 2022 We named her 'Honey Bear' because her color is like honey, and she has big bear paws. She is very smart, and probably one of the most good natured spirits I know. She is a sweet little girl, loves kids ( but not so crazy about other dogs ), and can be a real goof. Once in awhile she likes to be a sassy girl... and to get attention she steals the hat off my head and shows it to her mama! She likes to hug her babies and snuggle on the couch. She likes you to hold her paw, and she grips your hand with her paw like fingers. She always has to be part of the hug, whenever people hug. When you're sitting close to each other she has to climb on top and worm herself in between. She's always had a funny habit of licking things... even as a pup she like to sit and lick my hand, or my bed covers and she still likes to lick my pillow ( when she's at Cindy's house she doesn't get to do that ). Her favorite thing is to stick her head down a hole and dig. She's good about not doing it if you tell her not to... but she loves to do it whenever she can. It's funny to watch her stare at a hole... she tilts her head back and forth listening to a chipmunk or mouse crawling around in a hole underground. She will go at it for hours... literally! But... we also discovered another thing she loves to do... chase minnows! In the summer, we take her to Devils Lake... all we have to do is lay a blanket on the ground and she will entertain herself all afternoon chasing the minnows back and forth. She's a goof and most the time we call her Boo. Dogs are such amazing friends... somehow their spirits connect with our souls. I know some people probly think I'm crazy... but I can feel the spirit of Woody and Sheena, alive in Honey Bear! Sadly, we lost our sweet baby girl on May 4th, 2022. This last picture was her favorite spot at our Treehouse Cabin in NC. It was taken about a week before she left us. She was with us every day for almost 13 years! Thank you so much little boo... you will always be part of our soul and will live with us forever! |
